HIRUDO VERBANA

the hirudo verbana was/is a medicinally used leech that is not under the h. medicinalis species, and was only recently reclassified from it (among others). there isn't much interesting about this guy aside from the fact that he's got cool little stripes and that he's been misclassified for a hundred years, give or take however many. poor guy. they are one of the leeches kept as pets, however!
